It’s not long until we commence our next round of Teacher Training here at Heather Yoga! This will be our 4th cycle of our 200HR programme and we can’t wait to get started.
If you’ve been wondering what it’s like to embark on such a transformative journey then check out the videos below and hear directly from our graduates about their experience!
Helen:
“My yoga journey began quite a few years ago just doing classes at the gym mainly to supplement my running and other forms of exercise, but I must be honest and say that I never really felt that holistic ‘connection’. I hit a point in my life over a year ago where I felt that life got too much, I needed something to stop my brain from constantly being on the go and over thinking all the time and I just needed to breathe. Initially I started to investigate meditation classes and came across some at my local Yoga studio ‘Heather Yoga’ and this brought Yoga back into my life, suddenly everything just clicked. The link between the breath, flow and movement which had never been there before for me became a massive turning point, it was like someone opened my eyes to a whole new world.”
Holger:
“I found Yoga through my partner. She had been practicing for some time before I decided to give it a go. After I joined her for my first class in a studio, there was no way back. Very soon the benefits of practicing Yoga showed up in other sports I love, especially climbing. The two sports just link so nicely into each other. Both require a lot of patience and commitment. In time I found out more about the mental health benefits of Yoga. This part of Yoga has had a much larger impact on my life than I ever expected. Meditation and journaling has become part of my daily routine.”
Alis:
“After years of dealing with anxiety, depression, fatigue/burnout and lack of self-worth, I went on my own deep journey and exploration of Self Love. I had always practiced yoga pretty inconsistently, until I made the connection of how yoga could change the way I feel in my body and in myself. I teach from a place of compassion and my own experience to help guide people back into their own power. My body positive yoga classes are a traditional gentle hatha mash-up (slow & steady with a dash of flow), with a real focus on self-love, mental health and feeling good in your body.”
There’s still time to book onto this year’s course which begins in April and runs for 8 months.
