Having a hot moment? 😥 You can turn to breath to switch on your inner air-conditioning system and cool down! 🧊
This breathing practice called Sitali pranayama has a cooling soothing effect. It’s so great for tapping into to take care of yourself when you’re:
😎Sweltering in a car/ train/ plane or at the desk on a hot summer day.
😎Experiencing hot flashes in perimenopause and menopause.
😎 In a heated interaction and feel like you’re about to lash out – use the breath to press pause and regulate your nervous system before you respond.
Give it a try!
If you’ve been attending Yoga classes you will have probably heard your teacher talking a lot about the breath! Breathing techniques, or Pranayama as they are known in Yoga, play a key role in this ancient practice and are often the foundation or starting point of any movement. In a regular Yoga class setting, the dedicated breathing aspect of the practice is often very short as the focus tends to be on getting the body moving. So unless you are practising breathing techniques at home or within other specific classes you might not be accessing the full benefits of this powerful aspect of Yoga.
This September we have a dedicated 6 week course, designed to teach you how to tap into & utilise your breath so it can support your capacity of physical, mental & emotional wellbeing. There are so many benefits that breathwork can bring not only to your Yoga but to your day to day life too. It can help improve & sustain better focus & concentration whilst allowing you to decompress from stress and become more mindful through challenging situations.
🌬️We start on the 5th September and run until the 10th October – one live class a week plus extra online coaching from me to help you along your journey!
