AN INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION BASICS
This 6 week program designed & taught by Heather will introduce you to a mix of ancient & contemporary techniques that are simple, accessible and very effective, provide an opportunity for you to pause and reflect within your day, and which can be easily integrated into your everyday life.
It includes a 60minute group session each week – how to set up comfortably for meditation (sitting on the floor, using props, resting in a chair, laying down on the back), learning & practicing the basics of various meditation concepts & techniques, clear and easy to understand guidance & instructions, self reflection & journaling about the weekly meditation techniques & your experiences, and exclusive access to some guided audio meditations to be practiced between sessions.
By the end of this course you will have gained an understanding of the basics and laid a foundation to continue on from – setting up for practicing meditation in our yoga classes and at home – with benefits including reduced stress, better focus, improved sleep, calmer outlook on life.
Meditation is an innate part of yoga that is available to everyone. You don’t have to be an experienced yoga practitioner to reap the benefits of this profound and time-tested practice. If you are curious to start a meditation practice in 2020 this will provide a brilliant starting point under Heather’s guidance.
