In next months 'Flowing Into Stillness' and April’s ’Emerge, Radiant, Renewed: Spring Cleanse Workshop’ we’ll be including a variety of stress-relieving Breath Kriyas which are similar to pranayama for moving our subtle energy (Prana/ Life force) to help promote our vitality and open to deep levels of presence & relaxation, and also some cleansing kriya techniques for purifying the physical body to awaken a sweet clear mental state.

While more dynamic yoga disciplines generally work the superficial muscle groups, Yin goes deeper, to target connective tissues, ligaments, bones and our remarkable fascial network, by passively holding and relaxing into static postures. On entering into a pose, and finding the ‘edge’, or manageable amount of sensation; emphasis is then placed on finding stillness and softness.
Over the years I have learned a few important lessons and I wanted to share the four reasons why I think yoga and fitness training are the perfect pair.
