Stress Awareness Month April 2021

Stress Awareness Month April 2021

This month is about raising awareness to the causes and treatments of modern stress. Stress can catch up on us but how can we tackle it?
So many of us are experiencing high levels of stress which can play havoc to our health and because we can’t necessarily always notice it physically or we understand the way it can evolve, then it’s sometimes something we often don’t address. So it’s important to talk about it.

In next months 'Flowing Into Stillness' and April’s ’Emerge, Radiant, Renewed: Spring Cleanse Workshop’ we’ll be including a variety of stress-relieving Breath Kriyas which are similar to pranayama for moving our subtle energy (Prana/ Life force) to help promote our vitality and open to deep levels of presence & relaxation, and also some cleansing kriya techniques for purifying the physical body to awaken a sweet clear mental state.

We hope that this quote makes you smile! It’s a playful way to remind ourselves that rest is actually an important & necessary process in replenishing the body and mind so that we can function fully.

Savasana During Lockdown

Savasana During Lockdown

For some of us, Savasana is the best part of class. A welcome surrender, an invaluable opportunity to release and rest, a moment of complete suspension as we happily absorb all of the positive energy and movement from our practice... For others however, having ‘nothing to do, nowhere to be’ can become an experience of inner conflict and provokes a deep feeling of discomfort. Given the opportunity it would be part of the class which some might prefer to skip, especially during lockdown!
