I found Yoga whilst living in London in my 20s. My first class was in a very cold hall in the East End and it just opened my eyes to a wonderful practice and community that I had not found anywhere else. Over the years, my practice was sporadic, however, once I was introduced to the Philosophical roots, my practice really became ingrained in me. Over the years, I have been studying and practicing and this has led me to find balance in my emotional, mental and physical self. Yoga has helped me to overcome childhood trauma and I will forever be grateful for that.
I undertook the YTT to deepen my practice, and on the way, I realised that I loved teaching and creating a Community of people who feel and understand the benefits of Yoga. In a world of uncertainty, you know what awaits you on the mat.
In my classes, students can expect to be encouraged to pay attention to the sensations within their bodies and to accept that they are where they need to be in their practice. As well as interweaving Yoga Philosophy into my lessons, I love to teach the little physical tweaks that can make a student find an A-ha moment and come into the pose more fully. Yoga has also helped me in my full time role as a Cross Sectional Radiographer. I encounter many people on different journeys and use the practice of Pranayama and Meditation to enable them to undergo tests and overcome stressful situations.
I look forward to meeting and guiding you through your practice.
