⭐4 Practices to energise your morning!
I love including these practices in the morning to get my energy moving and to find clarity:
1. Ego Eradicator. Raise your arms in a 60-degree V-shape, fingertips folded to the base of your fingers, thumbs pointing up. Close your eyes, and do Breath of Fire for 1-3 minutes. Take equal, short and quick inhales and exhales through the nose, powered by a pumping motion of the diaphragm. Then inhale, hold your breath briefly, and slowly exhale while lowering your arms.
2. Cat Cow. Start on all fours with your wrists under shoulders and knees under hips. Inhale to arch your back (Cow), lifting your chest and tailbone, then exhale to round your back (Cat), tucking your chin and pelvis; repeat for 5-10 cycles.
3. Plank to Cobra to Child’s Pose or Downward Dog. Begin in a high plank, lower down to the mat, then inhale to lift your chest into Cobra with elbows bent. Exhale to press back into Child’s Pose or Downward Dog, lengthening your spine; repeat for 3-5 cycles.
4. Side Bend lunge and Runners twist. Step one foot forward into a low lunge with your back knee down, then side-bend toward the front leg while reaching your opposite arm overhead. Transition into a Runner’s Twist by placing your back hand on the mat or a block and rotating your torso toward the front leg, holding for 5-8 breaths.
