This Strokes Breath is such a great quick pick me up, and also a pattern & habit interrupter – helping to cut through all of the churning and rumination of the mind, and provide a powerful pause.
How to Practice:
🧘♂️You break the breath into 4 parts (strokes of little sniffs) and then breathe out one long breath.
🧘♂️Do it for a couple of minutes at least to start with – and then work up to 5 minutes if you can.
It’s a fantastic practice if you are trying to break a habit – so when you’re about to reach for the thing you’re trying to move away from (sugar, caffeine, cigarette, alcohol, pick an argument, scrolling on the phone!) – try this breath and see what happens! ⚡️
