Thinking of starting taking cold showers or starting a yoga practice? I definitely think both feel a lot easier in summer. The mornings are lighter, the air is warmer and there’s a bit less resistance to doing the thing you’ve been putting off. (You could relate this to any new practice you’d like to introduce into your life).

That’s exactly why summer is the perfect time to build the habit.

Not because it’s easy forever, but because when winter rolls around and motivation dips, you’re no longer starting from scratch – you’re just continuing something that’s already part of your routine. Which the warmer and brighter weather definitely helps with.

Use the season that supports you to create habits that can carry you through the season that challenges you.
