WORKSHOP 1

Invoking Inner Strength & Balance: Day Immersion

Saturday 20th September | 10am – 5:30pm

Invoking Inner Strength & Balance : A Day Immersion

Yoga philosophy gives a lot of importance to mental health, strength and resilience. It gives many cognitive tools and techniques to achieve this. In the modern day yoga excess importance is given only to Asanas and hardly focusing on inner strength and balance. Mental health is closely connected to our emotions, knowledge and capacity to manage emotions, clarity on values and beliefs, clarity about confusing concepts, understanding relationships,  discernment and decision making. Emotions make us more human. Emotions are the spice of life. Emotions move us. Unfortunately, there is no training in our education system about how to deal with our own emotions especially when we go through intense emotional disturbances.

In this day’s immersion you will focus on our inner life where we experience joy and sorrow, pain and pleasure, insecurity and sufficiency, fear and strength. We understand the principles of inner health, balance and resilience. Looking briefly into the neuro-chemicals of emotions and their effect on our health, placebo & no-cebo effects. We dive into the Indian Philosophical aspects connected to Inner well-being.

During the day we will discuss and practice 3 important cognitive tools for inner strength, balance and well-being. Sudhir will provide you with practical and easy to practice techniques to help stay calm amidst stressful situations and gain mastery over our emotional upheavals.

The retreat will end with a  Q&A session. Sudhir is known to support his students with podcasts and personal guidance even after the course. He does this free as a good karma and as a labour of love.

WORKSHOP 2

Breathwork Intensive

Sunday 21st September | 10am – 1:30pm

Breathwork Intensive

Prana is the life force. You do not see the life force. You only experience the effects of life force. Prana is subtle. The most ancient practice of Pranayama is to learn to expand and experience this life force. All modern breathwork practices are derived and inspired by these ancient practices of pranayama. Nowadays, especially after the pandemic, a lot of interest is generated about breathing and a lot of research is going on.  But unfortunately there are many practices in the market which are  not good  and safe but they use some scientific jargon to sell them.

Prana is directly connected to the functioning of all our bodily systems from nervous system to immune system. It is intimately connected to our energy levels, moods and emotions.

In this half day workshop Sudhir brings in his 34 years of experience and wisdom supported by his scientific background to explain about biomechanics and bio-chemicals of breathing. He gives a summary of the power of pranayama for physical and mental wellbeing and how to use pranayama / breathwork to train our nervous system. This is followed by a 60 to 90 mins of intense guided breathing practice.

The workshop will end with a  Q&A session.  Sudhir is known to support his students with podcasts and personal guidance even after the course. He does this free as a good karma and as a labour of love.

10 to 11AM : Science of Pranayama
11 to 1PM: Practice / Immersion
1 to 1.30PM : Q & A

These sessions are for everyone. No age limit or health limitations.

Contraindications for the practice are given at the time of the practice. Modifications will be given.
